GHK-Cu Capsule (2mg) — Research Overview

GHK-Cu (2mg) is a research-grade copper-binding tripeptide providing glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper complex in capsule format for laboratory research use. GHK is naturally present in human plasma and has been studied in preclinical models across skin biology, connective tissue, lung, and gene expression research since its first isolation from human plasma in 1973.

What the Research Shows

GHK-Cu has been documented to stimulate collagen synthesis in dermal fibroblasts at concentrations as low as 1 to 10 nanomolar, modulate matrix metalloproteinase activity to regulate the collagen remodeling cycle, and promote angiogenesis through copper ion-mediated endothelial cell migration (Pickart et al., BioMed Research International, 2015, DOI: 10.1155/2015/648108). A 2018 review documented GHK-Cu’s modulation of over 4,000 human genes across tissue repair, antioxidant defense, DNA repair, and anti-inflammatory pathways (DOI: 10.3390/ijms19071987). Human plasma GHK concentrations decline from approximately 200 ng/mL in young adults to around 80 ng/mL by age 60.
